I need a break...

...from the monotony of winter in this village.

I have just typed out a fairly long post and managed to delete it.  I have no idea how I did that but I'm not in the mood to re-do it.

It's really cold today. I woke up to -3 degrees and I'm reluctant to get out of my bed.   But I must because I need to escape this village for a while.

I'm heading off to Aydin today to stay with my friend Gwen for a few days.  Her husband has to go to Istanbul, so we thought we would have some female time...chatting, shopping, and just generally relaxing.

See you soon!

  1. Hope you're not reading this til you get back and that you are now feeling more chilled, no, let's make that 'cosy' after a nice girly break. You deserve it! Axxx

  2. Enjoy your break, Ayak. To prevent the frustration of losing posts like that, I always write them first in Word, then copy and paste. Saves me tearing out my hair too often. :-)

  3. Thanks Annie. Actually I'm leaving a bit later because Mr A got the bus times huh!

Perpetua. Thankyou. Yes you're right, I really should type and save posts first x

  4. Enjoy your break....cheer yourself up after the visit from FIL.

  5. I hate when that happens....I always copy mine first then press the 'button' to make sure I don't lose it trust me it's happened a few times.

Yikes!!!! that's cold without central heat. You must feel like a popsicle. :-0
We have -15 and central heat and still I'm cold in the house.

Have fun!!! See you when you get back. :-)

  6. Have a great time with your friend!

  7. Sounds like a good idea! Enjoy your visit with Gwen!

I've accidentally deleted so many things over the years...only rarely do I try to redo! I empathize with you!

  8. Its colder in Turkey than it is here!

Hoping you'll have a lovely time with your friend. See you later.
