Just passing through...

Thank you all for your comments on my previous post.  No time to reply individually but I very much appreciate your thoughts and good wishes.

It's hectic here, and tiring.  In my head I still have the energy I had 30 years ago, but the reality is quite different.

I'm posting now because I was woken up half an hour ago by my daughter's cat throwing up and decided to clear up the mess before someone treads in it..one less chore for my daughter to do in her busy life..

It was Billy's birthday yesterday so here are a couple of photos

Birthday breakfast

Big boy's bike

Cheeky Jimi!
See you soon xx

  1. I had to stop and read carefully the line where you say 'before someone treads in it' - good! It DIDN'T say before someone 'else' treads in it.
Gorgeous photos of a very happy birthday boy and as for Jimi - he has a most cheeky grin on his face!
Hope the rest of your stay is very happy. Take care.

    1. The cat has thrown up twice while I've been here Annie. Luckily each time I was able to clear it up BEFORE treading in it.
Thanks..last day today. The time has gone so quickly.

Happy Birthday to Billy. Give him a hug from me, not forgetting Jimi who is looking a great little lad, too.

  5. Sounds like you are having a good time visiting your family in England.
How long are you staying for? I do hope your return flight is more comfortable than the outward journey.

    1. Only here for 12 days Peter. Back home tomorrow. It's very windy here today so I'm hoping I won't have a bumpy flight tomorrow.

  6. That pussy cat issue seems minor cosidering the events that were going on till you got to your daughters.
Looks like you are having an awesome time and I must say 'cute kids'.....Happy Birthday to them...:-)
Hope your journey home goes smoothly...and I bet you can't wait to see Mr. A. I'll tell you, when my husband goes to Turkey for a visit I cry and cry I'll miss him. Then when he's coming home I now cry that he's coming home...too soon for me. I was just starting to have fun .LOL.

    1. It seems ages since I've seen Mr A, Erica. Hoping he'll make it to the airport to collect me tomorrow evening. Unfortunately he will have to drop me off and return to Kusadasi.

  7. I am in England now as well. The flight was about half an hour late departing Istanbul and I fell asleep shortly after we took off and was then woken by the landing. Not at Heathrow but in Belgrade, we had to make an emergency landing as one of passengers had had a suspected heart attack and needed urgent attention. The Turkish Airlines cabin crew did all they could, helped by an English doctor and midwife.

    1. That must have been quite a surprise Peter. Waking up in a different country. Hope you weren't delayed too much and the passenger was ok.
