It's Valentines Day.....

tomorrow, and a very appropriate day for this CAMPAIGN.

It is estimated that 1 in 3 of all women on the planet will experience violence at some time during their lives.  It's a horrifying statistic.

Tomorrow people in towns and cities all over the world will be dancing to show their support.

Happy Valentines Day.

  1. I think it may turn into "dancing in the rain" tomorrow.

  2. I've always been horrified at the level of violence against woman and children in the world, Ayak, and also against men. Why do we humans seem so ready to inflict pain on others? Sigh...

A Happy Valentine's Day to you too.

    1. Thanks for the link Helen. Sadly another horrifying story amongst the many all over the world. And another typical response by a "man" that it's what women wear etc etc. It has to stop.

  4. Yes, woman have definately had the bad lot in this life! I don't know if you know, but we are adopting from China. The thought that they have drowned these baby girls simply because they were girls just sends chills down my back or the reality that if a girl is not adopted by the time she is 13 the only life for her is usually prostitution because they age out of the orphanages. So sad!

  6. Happy Valentines Day to you too hon :-).

Don't know if you saw it, but there was a great pic going round FB which pointed out that men should be massively offended when the line 'what women wear' is used as an excuse for rape as it implies that all men and incapable of any kind of self control. That they are not intelligent and have to give themselves up to their basic animal instincts.(It was put much better than that in the pic but you get the drift)

    1. Hi Carol. Yes I did see it. I think I shared it a couple of weeks ago. Men who abuse are weak...they will find all sorts of excuses to justify what they do...sad isn't it?
