Boys will be boys!

Just to lighten the mood after all my gloomy posts recently.

Billy and Jimi love painting.  They have lots of tubes of different coloured paints, and a lovely easel which I bought for them

However, it can be very tempting for little boys to use paint for something other than producing pictures.

My daughter was busy and when she returned to the kitchen, she found this:-

The floor is black by the way in it's normal state!   Just look at Billy's face...he knows they have been naughty.  I think it most likely that it was Jimi (in the foreground) who was the instigator.  She almost cried when she saw the mess.   They have been deprived of privileges for a while.

Only two weeks till I see my lovely naughty boys!

  4. As a 60 something mom( my three boys are grown and out of the house)I think your grandsons are precious. They're faces say so much. We're caught and in for it now! The pic gave me a good laugh and a 'moment' of wishing my boys were little again. Only a moment.......your poor daughter having to do clean up. Pat McDonald

    1. I laughed too Pat, but didn't envy my daughter the big clean-up. I'm surprised she stayed calm enough to take photos!

  5. Reminds me of when my daughter did that aged 4. Smothered herself from head to toe in paint, along with her bedroom walls and the bed. I had to throw the sheet. I cried too, but we have a good laugh about it now. Hahahahaha

  8. It's always nice to see children exercising their creativity!

However, the kitchen floor might not be the best place...

  10. OMG!!! Love the look on the lil' guys face, so guilty. Billy looks standing there like he created a work of art....your poor daughter.
I have to change the story but my neighbors have twin girls.....while the fashion diva Mom was napping on the couch they trimmed her long hair (YIKES). the next day they took fish out of the aquarium and decided to feed the pricey fishies by hand. :-(
Bet you are excited to visit them cuties soon....take care.
